Deacon Kenneth L. Fuenfhausen one of three volunteers selected to be recognized by the Boy Scouts of America with the prestigious Silver Beaver Award. The Heart of America Council is pleased to honor Kenneth Fuenfhausen for his commitment to provide outstanding service to young people as adult volunteers in the Scouting program for many years.
Deacon Kenneth L. Fuenfhausen is a dedicated and committed servant to youth, the Scouting Program and his community, Eagle Scout Ken Fuenfhausen has provided valuable leadership to his unit, district and council. For over 20 years, he has mentored young people in the positions of Crew Advisor, Troop Committee Chairman, Scoutmaster, Cubmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster. His devotion to his district and council has included service as Unit Commissioner and Chairman of the Merit Badge Academy, Family FOS Campaign, District Camporee and Popcorn Campaign. This father of an Eagle Scout is a Sachem in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, has been recognized with the District Award of Merit, Cubmaster Award, Scouter’s Key, Scoutmaster Award, and District Committee Key. Holder of the Bronze Pelican and St. George Emblem Recognitions, Ken continues his invaluable leadership to the youth in his community as a Pastoral Associate at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church and is an active member of the Grandview Church Alliance.
