On August 3 Missourians will be voting on Proposition C

Dear Editor, On August 3 Missourians will be voting on Proposition C and will be the first State in the nation to vote on the federal health takeover plan passed by Congress earlier this year. The Missouri legislature led by Senator Jane Cunningham passed by 68% the Health Care Freedom Act (HB1764) creating Proposition C.
Proposition C is important for two reasons: (1) it gives voters a direct opportunity to comment the federal health takeover plan and (2) Missouri will be the first State in the Nation to vote on this issue.
A YES vote on Proposition C will defend your right to choose your and your family’s health care services (including joining the new federal health takeover plan). A YES vote will protect you from being forced into a health care system you do not want. A YES vote will protect your right to offer or accept direct payment for lawful health care services. (Canadians do not have this right.)
I urge a YES vote on Proposition C.
