Thomas Beal Robertson, 56, of Lee's Summit, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Kansas City Hospice House after a battle with lung cancer.
Funeral services 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Lee's Summit, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Lee's Summit. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House in lieu of flowers.
Tom was born on July 5, 1953, in Tulsa, Okla. As a Lee's Summit native, Tom volunteered his time coaching American Legions Baseball for Lee's Summit, as well as running clocks at the Lee's Summit High School games. He worked for KCPL for over the last 35 years. Tom was a proud member of the I.B.E.W. 814 Union. Tom and his wife Tracy just recently celebrated their 35 wedding anniversary.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Campbell, and his father, James B. Robertson. Survivors include his wife, Tracy Robertson; one son, Jacob Robertson and his wife Amy; one daughter, Jocelyn Ernst and her husband Clint, and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Alice Robertson; brother Blane Robertson and sisters Sandy Baxter and Renita Glover and Rita Martin.
