Robert M. Keith Jr

Robert M. Keith Jr., 72, of Lake Lotawana, Missouri, passed away June 21, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House.

    Memorial service 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Missouri Yacht Club at Lake Lotawana, Gate 6, M 71.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145; Lake Lotawana Beautification, 18 L Street, Lake Lotawana, Missouri 64086; or Lake Lotawana Rose Garden, 1116 SW Hoke, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64086.
    Born September 26, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri, Bob attended Lee's Summit High School, and graduated from Wentworth Military Academy and Missouri University. He started his career in auto dealership as finance manager. He had also worked as Training Director and Sales Manager for Old Security Life, National Fidelity Life and Individual Assurance Co. He worked in the sales division at Overhead Door and Builders Overhead Door. Bob served as Past President of the KC Breakfast Club and was currently serving as Executive Director. He served as President of the Overland Park Optimist Club, Director of Brookridge Country Club, Vice President of Lake Lotawana Association and was Past Commodore of MO Yacht Club.
    Bob enjoyed being with his family, flying, boating, sailboat racing, golf and Lake Lotawana living. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. Sr. and Thelma H. (Sander) Keith and two nieces. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Helen (Price) Keith; sons Brian Keith and his wife Lisa of Allen, Kansas and Scott Keith and Lynn of Ft. Myers, Florida; one grandson; two stepgrandsons; and brother Richard Keith of Hollister, Missouri.
    The family would like to thank the Centerpoint Medical Center Trauma Unit and ICU Unit, and Kansas City Hospice House for the expert care Bob received there.
