Rev.Gregg E. Wear
Rev.Gregg E. Wear, 52 of Lee's Summit, MO passed away on December 27, 2009 at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO after a battle with cancer.
 
He was born July 22, 1957 in Sedalia, MO, a son of Clayton E. and Betty L. Wear.  In 2005, he married Kimberly Fry.
 
Rev. Wear was a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center (1981), University of Central Missouri (1979) and Smith-Cotton High School (1975).  He established Gregg Wear Ministries and traveled extensively since 1982 ministering in over 1,000 churches throughout the United States and Canada.  Gregg was a Bible teacher and authored six books on various Bible subjects.  His latest book was completed before his illness advanced, but is not yet published.
 
Gregg was also a musician and recorded nine CD's of his own trunpet music.  He played his trumpet in the Thurlow Spurr's musical group, The Festival of Praisem, and played on PTL Club, 700 Club, 100 Huntley Street, and TBN's Praise the Lord Show.  While attending Rhema Bible Training Center he played his trumpet with Rhema Singers and Band (1981).  Before going into the ministry he played trumpet at Disneyland (1978) and in many different bands, ranging from big band to jazz to top 40 pop.
 
Survivors include his wife Kim Wear, of the home, two daughters; Natalie Cleveland and her husband Michael of Tshiequah, Oklahoma, Madison Wear, of the home; and one son, Clayton Wear, of the home, five step-children, Brandon Fry and his wifem Tiffany, of Jackson, WI; Celeste Fry-Calvert and her husband of the home and Zachary Fry of the home, his mother, Betty Wear of Sedalia, one sister, Janet Wear-Enloe and her husband, Keith, of Jefferson City, MO and one brother Kyle Wear of Macedonia, Ohio.
 
Funeral services were 10:00am, Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Cornerstone Church, 301 SE County Road AA, Blue Springs, MO 64014.  Visition followed after the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Gregg Wear Ministries, P.O. Box 2341, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.  Buriel was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO
