Betty Jean Stidham, 77 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2010 at her home. Memorial services will be 1:00PM January 19, 2010 at Langsford Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date. The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Wayside Waifs.
Betty Jean was born Oct. 28, 1932 in West Plains, MO to Francis and Jewell Mumaugh. Jeanne loved life, family, friends and animals. Everyone who knew her experienced her generosity. She always bragged about her children saying she had the best kids in the world. Her bond with her grandchildren was like no other. She adored her great-grandchildren. She was always looking for a way to make her friends happy. Any dog that crossed Jeanne’s path became a very “lucky dog”.
We know the angels are looking after her because she spent the latter part of her life collecting them.
Jeanne’s family would like to send a special thank you to Gayle, Roy and all of her dear friends at Avanti Apartments that kept a watchful eye on their Mom for so many years. Mom loved you all like family.
Survivors include her children Marc (Susie) Willis, Debbie (Bill) Willis-Reid, Carol (Larry) Jones, Patrick and Juliana Miller. Her grandchildren Dan (Andrea), Desiree, Chris and Ashley; her great grandchildren Alyssa and Izik.
