Arthur J.J. McGregor,
Arthur J.J. McGregor 37, of Grandview, Mo., passed away December 30, 2009, at Research Medical Center. A celebration of life service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, at the Grandview Assembly of God, 12400 Grandview Road, Grandview, Mo. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday, January 4, at the church. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Contributions suggested to the Arthur McGregor Memorial Fund, PO Box 182, Belton, MO 64012.
Arthur was born on June 14, 1972, in Kansas City, Mo., to Neal and Cynthia McGregor. He was a lifelong resident of Grandview and attended Grandview Assembly of God and was an honorary member of the Kansas City South Rotary Club. Arthur graduated from Grandview High School. He was an honor scholar at UMKC and earned a degree in theater arts and his master's degree in communication from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Va. He worked at Border's Books in Lee's Summit, and since 2007, he has been the office manager and reporter for the Jackson County Advocate.
He enjoyed photography, painting and writing. Survived by mother, Cynthia McGregor of the home; father, Neal and Eva McGregor, Clyde, Kan.; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Bauman, Grandview, Mo.; great aunt Vieta Ann Anderson, Grandview, Mo.; aunts Martha Parrish, Grandview, Mo., and Roberta McGregor, Alexandria, Va.; uncle Charles McGregor of Cottage Grove, Ore.; stepbrother Heath McGregor, Athens, Ga., and stepsister Heather Blankenship, Wichita, Kan. Arthur loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
