Travis Peter from O'Hara, is Runner-Up at State Wrestling

On Saturday, February 20th, Travis Peter lost to Kirkville's Justin Vanhoose 9-3 for the Class 2 State Title in the 125 weight competition.
For the season, Travis has a 50-2 record and Vanhoose went to 53-0. He was the State defending champ.
It took Travis Peter three minutes to pin Chris Renteria from Monnet of the first round in Class 2 State wrestling tournament to give Archbishop O'Hara High School their first four team points and a tie for 36th place among the competing teams.
O'Hara's other entry in the State competiton, Louis Golden competing at 215 lb, went 1:44 in the first round before dropping his match on a pin to Max Piazza from Westminster Christian.
Travis Peter, in the quarterfinals on Friday, pinned Jake Vitale from Mexico in 42 seconds.
At that time, O'Hara as a team moved up to a tie for 24th place with a team total of 22 points among the 47 schools fielding wrestlers in the State competition.

Saw the Peter wrestler and was impressed. I understand he holds some O'Hara school records in wrestling.
