The Downtown Days…Streets Alive! Festival is coming to downtown Lee’s Summit on June 4, 5 and 6.

The festival is an annual tradition that kicks off summer for people of all ages. Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street, Inc., is thrilled to once again welcome nearly 100,000 people to downtown Lee’s Summit.
The festival spans six city blocks. Highlights will include four stages of entertainment, handcrafted vendor items, carnival, kids area, car show & cruise night, bike ride-in, pancake breakfast, food vendors and more!
Kids will want to visit the carnival and kids area for games and entertainment. Classic car enthusiasts are invited to the Cruise Night on Friday night and Classic Car Show on Saturday, featuring cars made at least 25 years ago. Saturday night is Gail’s Harley-Davidson Bike Ride In.
Vendors will display their talents with handcrafted items for sale, and a variety of food — from funnel cakes and cheese steaks to gyros and barbecue, with plenty of ice-cold beer on tap — assures everyone will be happy. The pancake breakfast on Saturday morning will fuel everyone up for a day full of fun.
This year’s entertainment schedule is jam-packed, with a huge variety of local and regional favorites. Jerry’s Jam Night All Stars, featuring members of all your favorite Kansas City bands, will rock out Friday night on the Main Stage, while country fans will want to check out the Depot Stage for Coles Whalen and Noe Palma. Don’t forget to check out the street performers throughout the weekend.
Saturday evening the Main Stage will feature The Knobs, Wildstreet, The Last Vegas and the popular Poison Overdose, a Poison tribute band. The Depot Stage will feature Derek and the Darling and St. Bernadette. You also won’t want to miss the Verizon Wireless Star 102 Search, featuring local stars in a talent contest. There’s also plenty of family entertainment throughout the weekend. Peanut Butter Hamster performs Friday night on the Douglas Street stage, and promises to bring music you AND your kids will love. Saturday afternoon features dancers, skateboarders and gymnasts. There will even be two performances by Mad Science featuring fast-paced science experiments kids are sure to love.
