Jackson County Sheriff Office Captures Justin R. Shelledy Wanted from Pettis County, MO

Jackson County Sheriffs Office Response Team Captures Reported Suspect in Kidnapping Case From Pettis County Mo. Justin R. Shelledy Photo Courtesy Pettis County Jail By Sgt. Lane T. Eitel
On
Friday August 6th 2010 at about 3:00 pm the Jackson County Sheriffs
office acted on information they received in regards to the location of a
fleeing felon, who had a warrant for his arrest, issued out of Pettis
County Mo in regards to a kidnapping case.
The Sheriffs Office
Response Team (S.O.R.T) responded to a residence located near 7 Hwy and
Herring Rd, in an unincorporated residential area of Jackson County.
Sheriff’s
officers took into custody-Justin R. Shelledy, 32 year old from Sedalia
Missouri. Shelledy gave no resistance and was later transported to the
Jackson County Jail. Shelledy’s warrant for his arrest listed the bond
at $200,000.00. Pettis County Sheriffs Department was notified about the arrest.
Sheriff
Mike Sharp responded to the location of the arrest and gave great
praise to the members of the S.O.R.T. unit for their good work and
professionalism and to the investigations unit for working diligently
with other law enforcement agencies to locate and apprehend the
fugitive.
