Eastbound I-70 Reduced to One Lane Next Week at Jackson Curve
August 12, 2010
Eastbound I-70 will be reduced to one lane at the Jackson Curve from 4 to 10 a.m. Monday and Tuesday mornings, August 16 and 17, for bridge repairs. Eastbound I-70 will be reduced to one lane at the Jackson Curve from 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, to 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, so that barriers can be moved and lanes reconfigured to open both right outside lanes. Once the reconfiguration is completed, all ramps between Downtown and Van Brunt will be open. The traffic shift to the two right lanes will continue until mid-October.
The traffic shift will enable workers to continue rehabilitation of 14 bridges (nine eastbound) on I-70 between Troost Avenue and Van Brunt Boulevard. That work will continue into December, then resume early next year. For more information about other MoDOT projects, please visit MoDOT’s Website at www.modot.mo.gov/kansascity.
