Celebrity Chef Cary Neff to make Special Guest Appearance At Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill Flavors Cafe
Flavors Café at Truman Medical Center (TMC) Hospital Hill is a far cry from a typical hospital eatery – with healthy, gourmet meal options and a serene atmosphere. A centerpiece of the newly renovated Flavors Café and its new approach to dining is Flavors 450, a menu full of healthy, nutritious and flavorful meals all under 450 calories. Its creator, celebrity chef Cary Neff will visit the café on Tuesday, Aug. 31, from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., as part of the national introduction of the concept at TMC Hospital Hill.
Chef Cary Neff is the author of internationally acclaimed “Conscious Cuisine,” Chef Neff brings his “savoring the moment” philosophy and expertise to hospital dining through his partnership with Morrison Healthcare Food Services. Working with Morrison, he created the Flavors 450 menu to reflect his own unique balance of taste and health with a focus on wellness. Chef Neff was honored as the 141st Distinguished Visiting Chef® by Johnson & Wales University in April 2004 and America’s Top Healthy Gourmet Chefs by Aspen Center of Integrative Health in April 2005. He has appeared on nationally syndicated programs such as the Oprah Winfrey Show, Today Show and Food Network and has been featured in numerous national publications including The New York Times, Bon Appétit, Gourmet and Food & Wine.
