Bond: House Democrats Arrogantly Defied Wishes of the American People with Health Care Vote
March 21, 2010 9:58 pm
WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Kit Bond today criticized the House Democrats’ vote to pass the massive health care takeover the American people don’t want:
“House Democrats have arrogantly defied the wishes of the American people who don't want the higher taxes, increased health care costs, cuts to seniors' Medicare services, and new job-killing mandates on small businesses this bill will impose,” said Bond.

I''m not sure I agree with senator Bond. When he refers to the american people I'm sure he does not mean all american people. Frankly, I believe health care reform was needed. It should have been done years ago. As to the issue of higher taxes, increased health care costs, cuts to seniors' Medicare services, and new job-killing mandates on small businesses, I suggest the american people review the bill themselves in order to determine the validity of Mr. Bonds claims.
I believe the american people can be extremely gullible and quick to believe whatever Senators, Congressmen/Congresswomen or the administration wants them to believe. Whether it be the presence of weapons of mass destruction to validate our presence in the middle east or whatever, we as americans tend to be easily deceived.
Do your homework and get the facts yourself. Don't just believe what someone tells you.

Kit Bond represents the minority of American's in this administration. I believe that Democrats have arrogantly defied the minority of American's still whining that they're not the majority.

I do agree with Senator Bond and so do the majority of Americans as evidenced by the numerous polls by both parties that show the majority of Americans against this specific bill. It was not bi-partisan as not one Republican in either the House or Senate voted for this bill. Obama has already broken a large portion of his campaign promises and is no longer listening to the voices of his constituents. Don't be surprised when we stop listening to him.
